About this Course
If you are new to computer aided design tools, you should consider AutoCAD as your tool of choice. AutoCAD is the premier tool for designing much of what you see around you—your computer, the desk, and lighting—and much of what you don’t see, including your building's HVAC and electrical systems, the surrounding landscaping and roads, and your telecommunication networks. Even though AutoCAD is a popular and powerful design and development tool, it is a little more complicated than learning how to use Microsoft Word or Excel. But if you want to become a proficient and skilled Computer Aided Design (CAD) professional, then a detailed training in AutoCAD will provide you with the skills that architects, engineers, drafters, and design-related professionals use to create 2D and 3D designs and drafting. This training series includes Multimedia CD-ROMs and Videos.
You will hear and see your trainer on your computer screen as she teaches you beginner to advanced level AutoCAD concepts. But most of the time, you will learn by seeing your trainer perform real world examples with AutoCAD 2000. The best way to learn AutoCAD is by examples, and that is what this course presents a lot of. Whether you are new to AutoCAD or are an experienced user, this training provides you with sufficiently detailed training to teach you AutoCAD and increase your skill level. If you spend about 1 to 2 hours each day training with AutoCAD, you should become proficient in about 3 to 4 weeks. The rule to becoming a good or competent CAD professional is practice, practice, practice! Remember, the top performers are those who enjoy their work; so just relax and draw for fun and treat drawing as a hobby. You will be amazed at the progress you will make and success you will have as an AutoCAD professional.
